Vardevanyan presented Armenia’s domestic political situation to Swiss Ambassador

On September 7, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Aram Vardevanyan received Andrea Barbara Baumann, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to the Republic of Armenia. The National Assembly reported this.

The Ambassador congratulated Aram Vardevanyan on his election as Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

The Deputy Speaker, thanking the Ambassador for her congratulations, emphasized the importance of developing relations and expanding cooperation between Armenia and Switzerland.

He presented the Ambassador with an overview of Armenia’s domestic political situation and spoke about security issues and the challenges facing the country.

Referring to parliamentary activities, Aram Vardevanyan emphasized the importance of the work of the National Assembly’s friendship groups and the deepening of interparliamentary ties.

The sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
